The green jersey of the kids-tour Berlin will be awarded to the best rider in points. It will be donated in 2023 by the sponsor M4Energy e.G. in Berlin. The colors are based on the Tour de France.
History
The Tour de France points classification has been held since 1953 and in green. In the 1968 Tour de France, the color of this classification jersey was exceptionally red.
Green jersey kids-tour
The rider who collects the most points during all stages wins. Points are awarded for finishing positions and for intermediate sprints during the stage. The leader of the points classification after a stage wears the green jersey (French: maillot vert) the next day. If there is a tie in points, the following criteria are taken into account in order:
