- kids-tour starts. Sun. Rain, race abandoned
The kids-tour starts on time. Wife of the founder with moving words for the 1st stage. The traditional individual time trial is followed by rain and abandonment of the race. The race - a first short summary The individual time trial starts on time. Beautiful sunshine. Super atmosphere. Everyone is in a good mood. After a two-year break, Giesela Dietz-Mey enjoys this first stage. She is the heiress of the inventor Jens-Holger Mey and is happy with the kids. Memories of 1993. The age groups start as follows: In the U13 races, mixed teams of female and male riders are allowed. In the U15 there are separate races for male and female with separate teams. As always, the U13 will start. Only the age group with 27 starters managed to start dry. Half of the riders got to feel the good mood of God Petrus, the long awaited rain in Brandenburg came; and it was good. The commissioners met and postponed the start of the U15. We wait in buses, under tents, the weather was not suitable for the continuation of the tour. For safety reasons, the event was cancelled by the competition committee altogether. Results Herzog- Sport made the results available in no time at all and in excellent form. These were annulled due to the decision of the College of Commissioners. Overall, no results of the 1st stage will be published. Photos The photo service was provided by a whole team of photographers. Many thanks to all of them. - Final stage and winner of the kids-tour
After an atmospheric 3rd stage, the 4th and final stage followed today. The circuit through Berlin once again demanded everything. Girls and boys alike were eagerly awaiting the overall result. In the end, everyone is a winner somehow, the winners, placers and participants. The 28th International kids-tour 2022 keeps its promise. Lots of emotions with laughter and tears and a promise: See you again in 2023. 4th stage kids-tour The programme is full again: team presentation, circuit race, wheel and fat tyre race, final award ceremony. The circuit race is 23 km for the U13s and 44 km for the U15s. A course in the Berlin district of Hellersdorf with a length of just under 3 kilometres was raced. Four corners, four times braking, four times starting per lap. That demands a lot of strength and concentration on the last day. Originally, more than 40 teams with about 200 starters registered with the organiser Wheel Divas Cycling Team. Now there were 26 starters in the U13 age group and 41 in the U15 age group. The traditional girls' race was part of the U15 classification. The girls, who are so important to us, got an extra classification. The speaker was again Karl-Heinz Wenddorff. He was the first speaker of the kids-tour in 1993, at that time together with the founder Jens-Holger Mey. "Kalle" did it again with flying colours, at least according to the old hands among the audience. God Peter was kind to us again after Friday: we had the best weather conditions. The race Unlike the final stage at the Tour de France, today, as expected, the starters and teams wanted to determine the results in their favour right from the start. Also the jersey rankings Best girl - pink jersey, best young athlete - white jersey, Best overall individual - yellow jersey or overall sprint ranking - green jersey were hotly contested. Every rider gave everything with maximum effort, nothing was left to chance.. Wheel and fat tyre races At lunchtime, the very smallest racers could race across Berlin's streets. The wide tyre fraction was dominated by SC Berlin. The last one had it best. He crossed the finish line after 3km, escorted by the police bicycle squad and our motorbike squad. Results and presents As always, Herzog- Sport made the results available online within a very short time. Christine Mähler was in charge of the commissioners' college. She was assisted by Ramona Pultz, Christian Kuschke, Peter Mattke, Sascha Larisch, Christian Lemke and Frank Schönfeldt. They had nothing to correct today. Quality and quantity were right here, too. Compared to other events, this pleased not only the little racers, but also the sporting directors and coaches for the evaluations. Among others, Torsten Schubert and wife | BURN Berliner Verein zur Unterstützung des Radsportnachwuchses e. V. (Berlin Association for the Support of Young Cyclists) took the honours. Many thanks for the many good discussions; it is motivating to know that we are doing the right thing. "KBV" - no special incidents - the organising team is very, very satisfied. Everything has worked and is working, and there is a lot of room for improvement. At the very end, there was a well-deserved after-work beer, alternatively a shandy or champagne on Landsberger Chaussee. Many thanks to the entire team, everyone contributed to the success: in the end, it's the result that counts. And that was great! If you have any suggestions or tips, please feel free to contact us. - Archive of international kids-tour since 1993
The international kids-tour also includes an archive of past tours. It is not easy to build up the archive, as many booklets have not survived the time so well, but that does not stop us. Friends and supporters of the tour can take a look at the past years and maybe one or the other athlete will find his or her way back :-). We have found some who want to actively shape cycling today and simply do it. Either with cycling races or activities for clubs. We will archive and publish further issues in loose succession. To start with, we publish the booklets of the first five years of the kids tour. kidstourheft Unfortunately, this booklet has not survived the test of time, but we are glad that we were able to find it. - Stadler promotes kids-tour
Zweirad- Center Stadler Berlin supports the kids-tour 2022. Germany's largest bicycle shop with 22 branches is represented by 2 in Berlin. Both teams are working flat out to prepare the event. "Who knows his goal will find the way." Managing Director Josef Zimmerer is an enthusiastic cyclist and has been committed to helping young Berliners for decades. The more than 100 employees at the Berlin site know this too. The Wheel Divas e.V. and Wheel Devils national league cycling teams have been added. "If it's going to happen, then it's going to happen...." is what the native Bavarian said at the last meeting of the kids-tour organisational team at the beginning of the week. We will do everything we can to make the kids-tour a highlight for the guests. On behalf of all the children and sports directors, on behalf of the entire organisational team, the national league teams Wheel Divas e.V., Wheel Devils MANY THANKS to the entire Stadler Team Berlin, and in particular to Max Fleischer (head of the Prenzlauer Berg workshop), Ricardo Heigl in the warehouse, Roy Buße, Jahja Wittig and Franz-Paul Vogt (.....). There is packing, commissioning, selecting, shipping, storing. There is a lot to discuss and coordinate. The time for preparation is short. Josef Zimmerer comes up with some very good ideas: A free technical service point will be available for the little racers during all stages, just like the neutral equipment van at the Tour de France. A special wish of Michael Lemke will be realised: an air compressor for the teams' support staff and leaders. But that's not all, his staff is scheduled as mechanics for all 4 stages. The prizes were a special focus of Josef Zimmerer. Now, for the first time, the members of the team classifications will also receive an appreciation in the form of awards. The bags for the starting documents, giveaways and small attentions are packed, prizes for the ceremonies are chosen, tents and equipment are on the truck. Tomorrow it starts: the 28th International kids-tour starts. Many thanks to all the staff of the teams from Zweirad- Center Stadler in Berlin- Charlottenburg und Prenzlauer Berg. - kids-tour powered by M4Energy
#energy4kids. M4Energy supports the kids-tour 2022. The cooperative energy supplier from Dresden spontaneously agreed. Every financial support helps organiser Lemke to offer the kids a worthy stage ride. "The true friend is recognised in adversity". The very short preparation time for kids-tour welds all active participants and friends of the sport together. "We can do more than just electricity and gas," says the energy cooperative M4Energy eG. It goes on to say: "Here we specifically help the voluntary commitment of clubs. Because top-class sport develops from popular sport. We promote the basic work for this". After my phone call yesterday with Maik Junker, the chairman of the board, it was clear that even if the entire shortfall could not be covered, the kids would be helped in any case. This promise comes unexpectedly and helps so much. Maik Junker and his board colleague Mirko Schlegel will also expand their commitment in cooperation with senderundempfaenger.de OHG. A very good and trusting signal for our work. On behalf of all the children and sports leaders, on behalf of the entire organising team, the national league teams Wheel Divas e.V., Wheel Devils Cycling Team: THANK YOU SO MUCH. Background: Almost everything this year did not go as planned at the beginning of the year. Lack of agreement, disputes, a blockade by the Berlin cycling federation (Berliner Radsportverband), economic intrigues threatened to push the kids to the wall. The traditional kids' tour was no longer to exist. The BRV appropriated the funds that had been available to the kids-tour for more than a decade. First, it applied for funding for the 28th kids-tour, even though it had never intended to organise the traditional event. This grant was earmarked for his own Youngster Race. And yes, we are happy about every new race. Who else but Michael Lemke, who has been the organiser and trainer for decades, sees the Youngster Race as an enrichment. The Youngster Race is not an alternative, not a replacement for the last remaining traditional race in Berlin. After the decision of the Frankfurt Main Regional Court, we only have a few days to make preparations for our participants. The entire marketing, i.e. sponsor acquisition, crowd-funding, the acquisition of further donations, live-stream, photographers and so on - all this could not be done as expected. Even the loyal donors and small sponsors were therefore not contacted. The reason was that the BRV board deliberately blocked the invitation to tender. The organising team realised too late that the approval of a kids-tour was not wanted from the beginning. Sina Päske and Michael Lemke were led around by the nose. It would be a scoundrel to think of the BRV's own Youngster Race and then think evil of it. Unexpectedly comes often, or as my grandmother used to say: Luck is with the brave. Now Maik Junker said yes to the tour, yes to the children, despite and precisely because of the previous history. The shortfall is getting smaller. And that is a good thing. Every contribution helps the kids. It would be nice if you could also make a contribution. It's easy to do via Paypal. Recipient: sina.paeske@kids-tour-berlin.de Subject: kids-tour 2022. - Update, courage and your help on the kids-tour
Preparations for the 28th International kids-tour are in full swing. Your financial help is very welcome. Notes on the regulations. Thanks for the many encouragement Financial support Due to the imponderables, we had to do without the prepared crowd-funding this year. The previous donors and small sponsors were therefore not contacted either. Unlike in previous years, there is also no public funding from the Landessportbund Berlin. Sad but true, this also prompted the Berlin Cycling Federation | Berliner Radsportverband. At the moment, Wheel Divas e.V. and its sponsors, among others Zweirad- Center Stadler Berlin as well as the Päske family and I, are running the kids-tour completely on our own. Despite all our efforts, there is still a shortfall. In short - if you want to support us not only morally in these turbulent times, you can make a financial contribution and donate to the kids-tour. This can easily be done via Paypal. Recipient: sina.paeske@kids-tour-berlin.de Subject: kids-tour 2022. Preparations and this and that 7 days before the start of the 28th international kids-tour, the organisation team gives everything once again. It is checked, changed, modified and organised. As always in life: when you think there are 3 possibilities, there is a fourth or fifth: our race doctor is now in hospital himself. We wish him a speedy recovery! In addition, the Berlin Cycling Federation has "forgotten" our commissioners. We also solve this challenge for the kids. Who has suggestions for commissaire a doctor please send them to me. The cups, ribbons and jerseys from Redvil Sport, which are so important for the kids, are on their way to the organising team. Many thanks to all our partners, suppliers, service providers and manufacturers. Just like the teams, they are at the ready. A lot had to be organised and procured at short notice. Among other things, the ordered prizes and awards had to be produced within a week. In the last few days, I had many appointments on site. Our routes in Lehnitz, Willmersdorf and the Willmersdorf industrial estate have been inspected and discussed with the police. Everyone is very satisfied with the work of the organising team. Announcement per race and starting lists Due to the requests, here is an overview based on the sporting regulations: In the U13 races, mixed teams of female and male riders are allowed. In the U15 there are separate races for male and female with separate teams. Starter lists and teams are now filling up with concrete names. If you still want to participate, please send your entry directly to me. The participant lists will be sent directly to our timekeeper Herzog-Sport. So not only are the start and result lists quickly online, for the first time we are also offering live timing of the kids. Encouragement and courage Thank you very much for all the mail, comments and phone calls. It makes us proud to have done the right thing. It gives us courage to continue despite all the adversities. - URGENT NOTICE: Judge sets hammer blow for children and kids-tour
The kids-tour takes place. It can take place because BDR and BRV lose in court. Today, the Frankfurt/Main Regional Court ruled in favour of the children and the original kids-tour. The organising team is allowed to use the name kids-tour. The presidents Rudolf Scharping | BDR and Claudiu Ciureo | BRV have to give up their resistance. It was with relief and joy that the organising team, Wheel Divas, received the call from lawyer Roland Gall | Schick und Schaudt Rechtsanwälte PartG mbB Stuttgart today. For all opponents of the kids-tour it is a pitch black day. And in this respect it is a victory for the children, our offspring, reason, decency and the law. It is a good day for the children and all active participants as well as for the more than 40 teams that have registered in the meantime. Attorney Gall is a specialist in sports law. He had advocated a lawsuit because the BDR and the BRV were not prepared to see eye to eye despite the breach of the law. Gall convinced the Regional Court Frankfurt/Main | Chamber for Commercial Matters in the preliminary injunction with only a few arguments that the Berlin Cycling Federation and Bund Deutscher Radfahrer have to give up their resistance. They have to register the kids-tour in the official register rad-net. Furthermore, the orga-team is expressly allowed to use the name kids-tour. This was preceded by weeks of long and fruitless talks, a lot of communication between all parties involved and a high degree of stalling tactics. Among those involved were Berlin President Claudiu Ciurea, Vice-President Robert Förstemann and "road expert" Jörg Wittmann and the representatives of German cycling, General Secretary Martin Wolf and BDR Vice-President Günter Schabel. Its President Scharping did not even report back. All of them were not prepared to give up their legal position. This was despite the fact that for Schabel and Ciurea in particular, the breach of the law was obvious with reference to the sporting regulations. Sina Päske of Wheel Divas e.V., the organiser, had no other option but to go to court and announced this step to Schabel. Now the organiser Michael Michael Lemke will re-advertise the 28th International kids-tour at rad-net. It is to be hoped that this will bring the tour into calmer waters. Sina Päske now has to write to the Landessportbund Berlin and other sponsors, because the BRV had tried to get funding from them or from the Rapha Foundation by using a wrongly declared kids-tour, which should have been the Youngster Race. The Youngster Race is not a kids-tour. And the kids-tour is not "former". Those who claim this like Ciurea or Wittmann want to deceive. By the way, the BDR and the BRV now have to share the costs for this necessary court case at the regional court in Frankfurt/Main. It is to be hoped that the perpetrators will learn from the damage. The kids-tour takes place. Only the result counts. The article will be edited further. Bund Deutscher Radfahrer e.V. Senatskanzlei Berlin Landessportbund Berlin e. - In Berlin, the new generation needs a wide cross. Old men, sensitivities, approval
„Instead of creating out of values, blocking is done out of sensitivities."* From us, you're good to go: Start for our currently just under 40 cycling teams. However, they currently need a wide cross for the old men initiated sensitivities and the blockade of the Berlin Cycling Federation | Berliner Radsport Verband. Dear friends of the kids-tour, today again a small stand to the preparations of the 28th international kids-tour, the original as I must add now again and again. Because not always where Nutella is on it is also Nutella in it. I just don't know quite how to start: So I work off publicly what is close to my heart. The status I can say that despite the delay, our preparations are progressing well. As expected, the registrations I have received do not correspond to the status for 2019, but the kids-tour is well staffed internationally. The 1st and 4th stages have been approved and are therefore safe. Approvals for the 2nd and 3rd stage are currently being processed. Many thanks at this point to the Landesbetrieb Straßenwesen Brandenburg. As always, the cooperation with Section 33 of the Berlin police in Marzahn is particularly commendable. All this does not come by chance, but has to do with the good execution of the last years. The medals, which are so important for our children, are on their way to Berlin, and most of the infrastructure has already been provided. Toilets have been ordered, waste disposal has been commissioned, jerseys have been ordered, and so on and so forth. So we are up to date. Mind you WE, the Orga- Team. Dear adults, dear BRV and dear BDR- what child do you want to explain her and this behavior, how to justify? Should not we do everything for this photo? Bogus problems and challenges The Berlin cycling federation with president Claudiu Ciurea and "road specialist" Jörg Wittmann seem to be so busy with their many new projects that for months they have also continued to neglect Berlin's only and last traditional race, and that too is a tradition. Their new website, a new logo and a lot of loud ballyhoo give this impression. Their daily business remains deliberately not only lying, the tradition event kids-tour is deliberately torpedoed. My communication with the BRV has been monosyllabic for 8 weeks. The demand: I have to switch off this Internet side to prevent any reference to the kids tour, then perhaps..... oh yes? Mediation, Schlichtung, Rechthaberei und Kompetenzüberschreitung The German Cyclists' Federation has a different view. It was called in by Sina Päske and me among other things with vice-president Günter Schabel, coordinator road Dr. Peter Pagels, Ulrich Müller | rad-net GmbH and and as Mediatior. I am not the only one who sees mediation as a cooperative solution to the conflict. Through structured negotiations with the help of the BDR, we could have worked out an agreement together that meets the needs and interests of the children and then all of us. Unfortunately, to the astonishment of the BDR, neither President Ciurea nor "road expert" Wittmann share this view. I hear excess of competence and vanity, there is talk of sensitivities and egocentric behavior. I say distortion of competition, some old men obviously do not want competition. And I add, deception: because while for a long time there was talk of a kids-tour at the BRV, this is now called youngster-race. Yes, what now, Mr. President, also applies to you: Where Nutella is on it, there should also be Nutella in it. By the way, the BDR's own plausibility check as well as by its register Rad-Net has been completed positively. This is also in accordance with the BRV statutes: "Decisive for the implementation of events and for sporting activities are the sporting regulations and the competition regulations of the BDR". I have complied with this. Accordingly, the tour is to be approved, but it is not. "Sounds funny - but that's how it is" (Peter Lustig)." So our tender is not approved by the "road specialist" Wittmann because of which serious reasons? Are these reasons based on the sport regulations or rather on the style of the BRV? And are possible reasons suitable to prevent an international stage ride for children? "If you are stuck, form a working group". This is now to happen this week. In a spetacular board round then probably less the factual arguments in favor of the children are prioritized than rather the sensitivities quoted by the BDR. One can hope only that not only clueless ones, comfortless ones, faithless ones and other lots are in this circle, otherwise the release lasts probably still longer. Or should one call it rather prevention at any price? Who knows, the ways of the Lord are unfathomable, like the way of thinking and acting of some in the Berlin association. I ask all national and international guests for the board of the Berlin cycling federation of the sports metropolis Berlin further for patience. So for the time being, the arms remain a little lower than those of the young athlete in the picture. I still have one: Team standings today 18 teams U13 15 teams U15 male 6 teams U15 female Your Michael Lemke. Bund Deutscher Radfahrer e.V. Senatskanzlei Berlin Landessportbund Berlin e. - Stunned- BDR cancels kids-tour
The Bund Deutscher Radfahrer deletes the original kids-tour from the calendar. Almost 500 participants, parents and coaches are stunned and angry. Old men with sensitivities against children: demands for implementation remain ignored. This is how cycling works in Germany. The Bund Deutscher Radfahrer deletes the kids-tour from the rad-net calendar of events. That in itself is a scandal. What's even worse is that I only learned about it by chance. Yesterday, Günter Schabel confirmed the silent deletion to Hans-Günter Päske, 2nd CEO of the organiser Wheel Divas Cycling Team e.V. He is on his way to the next competition in Austria with his women's team after 2 UCI races in Slovakia and Hungary. Schabel is vice-president of competitive sports at the BDR. I think that with his powerless assertiveness our elected representatives Scharping, Schabel, Wolf, Moster and our young people are giving up. He who does nothing will be done to. Schabel also gave reasons. I should continue to communicate without result with the Berlin President Claudiu Ciurea, the BDR sees itself as being on the outside. On the outside when it comes to children? And should I really switch off the kids-tour website? And what will happen next year? The active participants are holding their own against the BDR and BRV opinion: More and more clubs, coaches and sports directors are in favour of the original kids-tour. With yesterday's 40th team registration by Nick Kracik | TSC Berlin, all Berlin teams are also participating. In addition, the youth leaders of the northern federations had spoken out in favour of holding the 28th International kids-tour from 26.08.22 - 28.08.22. All of them, including the Berlin teams, continue to demand and expect the tour to take place, sending out clear signals for the kids. Berlins president Claudiu Ciurea and his Berlin "road manager" Jörg Wittmann are against it. Wittmann had already buried the Tour de Berlin during his term of office. Ciurea wants to push his invention "Youngster Race". Whether this succeeds will now also depend on the character of the team bosses and team managers. My organising team, sponsors and last but not least the board of Wheel Dives e.V. with Sina Päske now have to weigh up and consider the next steps. Thank you very much for the comfort, support and many suggestions received here yesterday. I have not remembered all of them, so only the most important ones: The presidents of the regional associations and team leaders are in favour of holding the kids-tour and request their top association, the Bund Deutscher Radfahrer, to register the kids-tour on rad-net. This would be legally impossible to pass. The presidents of the regional associations and team leaders are in favour of holding the kids-tour and call on the Berlin cycling federation to approve the event. Another national association advertises the kids-tour. All questions about the impending cancellation of the 28th kids-tour can be answered by the non- and acting persons Claudiu Ciurea | President Berlin Cycling Federation Robert Förstemann | Vice President Berlin Cycling Federation Jörg Wittmann | "Road Manager" Berlin Cycling Federation Andreas Müller | Head of the Berlin Cycling Federation Office Rudolf Scharping | President German Cyclists' Federation Günter Schabel | Vice President Competitive Sports German Cyclists' Federation Patrick Moster | Director Competitive Sports German Cyclists' Federation Martin Wolf | Managing Director German Cyclists' Federation The organising team will have to discuss further options today between work, cycling and training. I'll be in touch, I promise. If you have any questions, please contact me. Yours, Michael Lemke. Bund Deutscher Radfahrer e.V. Senatskanzlei Berlin Landessportbund Berlin e.
